Planet Detection Much of our work has focussed on planet detection with a BOSS used in conjuction with NGST. Here are some images that show how well we can do. To be properly impressed you should start with the NGST image without a BOSS and see how things improve when BOSS is introduced. Without Boss 10 Parsec 5 Parsec 3 Parsec Angular Resolution We have begun (again) to consider the possibilities of using BOSS for very high angular resolution studies. The new thing is that we are considering the possibility of using a BOSS in conjunction with HST or Chandra! If this works out it we could get by with a much smaller BOSS (about 20 meters by 20 meters) and could be ready to launch in the next few years. With such a BOSS our preliminary analysis shows that we can achieve better than 0.1 arcsecond resolution in the X-ray when used together with Chandra.
